Michigan residents sue AI data center over 24/7 noise pollution, company offers to buy homes
Residents of Dowagiac, Michigan have filed a lawsuit against Alliance Cloud Services LLC, a subsidiary of Hyperscale Data, alleging that its data center has emitted a high-pitched whining noise 24 hours a day for over two years. Residents rejected the offer, citing deep family roots in the area and the difficulty of relocating. This case follows a similar noise pollution lawsuit against a Microsoft data center in Wisconsin.
