Miami extends win streak to 6 with late Luis Suarez PK at Montreal
Inter Miami defeated CF Montreal 1-0 on Saturday night, extending their winning streak to six matches. Luis Suarez scored the decisive penalty kick in the 81st minute after a collision in the box sent Miami forward German Berterame to the hospital via ambulance. The win gives Miami a record of 11-2-4 (37 points), including two victories without Lionel Messi, who is recovering from Argentina's World Cup run. Montreal fell to 4-10-3 (15 points) and extended their winless streak to six games. Miami dominated possession in the first half, but Montreal had the only shot on target. Montreal goalkeeper Sebastian Breza made one save, while Miami's Rocco Ríos Novo made two. The teams will meet again in Florida on August 29.
