Mario Lemina signs two-year contract extension with Galatasaray
Gabonese international midfielder Mario Lemina has signed a new two-season contract with Turkish Süper Lig club Galatasaray, extending his stay after his previous deal expired this summer. The 32-year-old, who came through Lorient's academy and previously played for Nice and Marseille, reached an agreement with the Istanbul club's management on Tuesday afternoon after several weeks of reflection. Lemina returned to Galatasaray in February 2025 following an earlier stint during the 2019-2020 season. Last season, he scored the only goal in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 against Liverpool (1-0, 0-4 in the return leg), contributing to a successful European campaign where Galatasaray also beat Liverpool in the league phase (1-0) and eliminated Juventus in the play-off round before being eliminated by Liverpool.
