Mariah Carey's 30-Year-Old Album Daydream Debuts on UK Downloads Chart
Mariah Carey's 1995 album Daydream, celebrating its 30th anniversary, has debuted at No. 13 on the UK's Official Album Downloads chart following the release of an expanded edition with digital and physical offerings including a baby-pink vinyl. This marks Carey's 18th appearance on the chart and her first new entry since October 2025. The album also returned to the Official Hip-Hop and R&B Albums chart at No. 18, its first appearance since November 2020. Despite being a three-decade-old project, it ranked as only the ninth-highest debut in a busy week on the downloads chart, trailing releases from Gracie Abrams, Motionless in White, and the soundtrack for The Odyssey. Daydream originally debuted at No. 1 in the UK in 1995 and produced iconic singles including Fantasy, One Sweet Day, and Always Be My Baby.
