Mangaluru Police Commissioner Commends 29 Officers and 118 Personnel for Policing Achievements

Mangaluru City Police Commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy awarded commendation certificates to 29 police officers and rewards with certificates to 118 police personnel for their work in policing duties. Over the past six months, police traced accused in 24 long-pending cases where non-bailable warrants had been issued, arrested suspects in 88 property theft cases reported in 2026, and recovered stolen property worth ₹1.2 crore. In drug enforcement, 142 alleged drug peddlers were arrested in 84 cases, and 443 drug users were taken into custody, with efforts ongoing to trace suppliers. The commissioner also felicitated teams that cracked online investment fraud cases by tracking accused to Nepal, personnel involved in cybercrime awareness and victim recovery, those monitoring social media for inflammatory content and fake news, officers handling law and order and bandobust duties, and personnel responding promptly to Dial 112 complaints. Effective court trial management was also recognized.
