Mallory Swanson Out for Chicago Stars with Knee Injury
Mallory Swanson has been ruled out of the Chicago Stars' Friday night match against Orlando due to a knee injury, marking her first missed game since returning from maternity leave on May 16. Swanson had played 90 minutes in three consecutive games starting July 5. The injury is the second blow to the Stars' forward line this week, following Jordyn Huitema's season-ending torn ACL diagnosis. Huitema's four goals account for half of the team's total of eight this season. The Stars have lost 11 times this season, all by shutout, and have been outscored 10-0 in their last two visits to Orlando's Inter.co Stadium. The team is 7-23-11 since the start of 2025, scoring only 40 goals in 41 games.
