Magic Circle firm Linklaters sees partner profits soar to £2.5m after record year
Linklaters, a Magic Circle law firm, reported record financial results for the year ending 30 April 2026, with revenue reaching £2.47bn (up nearly 7%) and pre-tax profit hitting £1.2bn (up over 11%). Profit per equity partner rose 11% to £2.48m, while profit per all partners grew nearly 11% to £2.31m. The firm achieved its third consecutive year of double-digit profit growth. Linklaters has been aggressively expanding internationally, particularly in the US where it doubled revenue and quadrupled profit over four years, growing its US partnership to around 55 partners. The firm also opened new offices in Shanghai and Singapore, added 37 new elected partners, and moved into a new 360,000 sq ft global headquarters at 20 Ropemaker Street in London. Key mandates included advising the UK government on the £38bn Sizewell C Nuclear Plant Project, representing Unilever on its global demerger, and defending Visa in competition cases. The firm also invested in legal AI, launching an Applied Intelligence team.
