He also addressed a 2012 visit to Epstein’s private island, Little St. James, claiming it was arranged by Epstein’s staff without his prior knowledge. Lutnick emphasized that the trip involved a large group of approximately 15 people, including his family and friends, and consisted solely of a brief, boring lunch outdoors. He firmly denied witnessing any illegal conduct or seeing young women or girls during the visit. Additionally, Lutnick dismissed allegations linking him to masks found on Epstein’s estate as absurd, noting physical differences such as his hair. As the first Trump cabinet official questioned in the committee’s probe, Lutnick maintained that he distanced himself from Epstein after their initial meeting and established no further personal or professional relationship.
