LPL Financial Acquires Good Life in Continued 'Sticky' Business Strategy
LPL Financial has acquired Good Life, a $15 billion office of supervisory jurisdiction (OSJ) based in Celebration, Florida, as part of its long-term strategy to acquire affiliated advisor groups. The deal follows LPL's pattern of first taking minority stakes in such firms and later fully acquiring them, a model analysts say creates 'sticky' business relationships and recurring revenue. This acquisition comes after LPL's major purchase of Commonwealth Financial Network last year and the April 2026 acquisition of Mariner's advisor network. Industry experts note that the strategy allows LPL to retain large advisor platforms, provide liquidity to firm founders, and continue scaling its advisor base, which has grown from 10,000 in 2012 to over 32,000 today. LPL stated the move will not disrupt client work and will give Good Life advisors broader access to its wealth platform.
