Lorient: The Real Reasons for the Failure of Bamba Dieng's Transfer
Foot Mercato reports that contrary to recent rumors, Senegalese striker Bamba Dieng did not fail a medical examination at Turkish club Amedspor. According to the outlet, Dieng never traveled to Turkey for the transfer. The deal, which had appeared to be on very good track, collapsed due to last-minute disruptions, including the arrival of new intermediaries and a modification of the conditions initially agreed upon between the parties. Faced with this change in the negotiation context, Dieng's camp decided to terminate the discussions before his departure. The report explicitly denies claims of a failed medical, stating such information is unfounded. The article is attributed to journalist El-Hadji Loum and was published on July 27, 2026.
