London Stock Exchange to Launch Round-the-Clock Trading from 2027
The London Stock Exchange announced it will introduce 24-hour trading, five days a week, starting in 2027. A new trading venue called LSE 24 will be created to give international investors greater flexibility to respond to market events, access liquidity across time zones, and manage risk. This move follows similar efforts by US rivals, including the New York Stock Exchange, which is working on a platform for tokenized securities offering 24/7 trading to keep up with always-on crypto and betting markets.
