Liverpool: FSG confirms investment bid as Iraola sets transfer demands
Liverpool's owners Fenway Sports Group (FSG) have confirmed that a consortium led by British-Indian businessman Amit Bhatia, backed by the Mittal family, has expressed interest in a minority stake in the club. The talks are at an early stage, with no agreement in place. Meanwhile, new head coach Andoni Iraola, speaking from Chicago during the pre-season tour, made clear his transfer demands: the club needs at least one winger following Mohamed Salah's departure, and potentially a right-back depending on Conor Bradley's recovery from injury. The Reds have already signed Spanish winger Victor Munoz for £34.5 million but still require major squad reinforcements after losing Salah, Andy Robertson, and Ibrahima Konate. FSG's statement mirrors a similar minority investment deal with Dynasty Equity in 2023.
