Liverpool Appoints Alejandro Rosalen as New Goalkeeping Coach
Liverpool FC has officially announced the appointment of Alejandro Rosalen as the new goalkeeping coach for the first team. The 49-year-old Spaniard joins the coaching staff of manager Andoni Iraola, replacing Javier Valero, who left after his second stint with the club in the 2025-26 season. Rosalen brings extensive experience, having most recently worked at Serie A club Napoli from 2021 until this summer, where he helped the team win two Serie A titles in the 2022-23 and 2024-25 seasons. Prior to Napoli, he spent eight years at Fiorentina in Italy and one season at Videoton in Hungary. Rosalen began his coaching career at Valencia's youth academy, where he remained for eight years. The announcement was made via Liverpool's official website on July 20.
