Legora acquires London startup Wexler to boost courtroom capabilities
Swedish legal-tech company Legora has acquired London-based litigation startup Wexler, continuing its acquisition spree. Wexler's software helps lawyers reconstruct cases from thousands of documents, cutting manual review time by 75%. The deal, terms undisclosed, aims to make Legora more useful for trial lawyers by enabling fact-checking and source tracing. This is Legora's fifth acquisition since January, as it and rival Harvey consolidate the legal-tech market. Wexler, which had raised $7 million and was used by global firms like HSF Kramer and Clifford Chance, was not actively for sale but was swayed by Legora's platform of over 1,500 customers. The acquisition reflects a broader shakeout in legal tech, where startups with niche tools seek buyers with deeper pockets and distribution.
