Kompany Gives Bayern Munich Players Half-Day Off for Lake Tegernsee Recreation
On Wednesday afternoon, Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany granted the team a half-day off from their training camp at Lake Tegernsee. Instead of a closed session, players and staff spent private time at a boathouse on Lake Rottach-Eggen. Notable activities included 21-year-old Tom Bischof and 31-year-old João Palhinha paddleboarding and passing a ball, with 22-year-old Aleksandar Pavlović relaxing nearby. Palhinja, who had a bandaged left calf from a morning collision with Kim Min-jae, later jumped into the lake. Sporting director Max Eberl swam with data analyst Soner Mansuroglu, while vice-captain Joshua Kimmich and several young players also joined. Backup goalkeeper Sven Ulreich arrived by mountain bike and signed autographs. The camp, which has included three open and one closed session, concludes Thursday with a friendly match against regional league team Rottach-Eggen. Several key first-team players, including Harry Kane and Jamal Musiala, have not yet joined the camp.
