Katchafire Collaborates with Reggae Legends on 'Revival: The Guest Edition'
New Zealand reggae band Katchafire has launched their latest project, 'Revival: The Guest Edition,' featuring collaborations with international reggae icons. This release follows the January re-release of their platinum-selling 2003 debut, 'Revival 2.0.' Founding member Logan Bell describes the featured artists, including Third World, Steel Pulse, Big Mountain, Mike Love, Laughton Kora, and UB40’s Ali Campbell, as family and early inspirations. The first single, 'Seriously,' features Ali Campbell, marking a significant milestone for the band after twenty years in the industry. Bell highlights the enduring global appeal of their music, particularly across Pacific regions, attributing their longevity to multi-generational fan support. While celebrating these past influences, the band is also preparing new original material. They plan to shift from staggered single releases to a traditional full-album launch strategy for their upcoming work. The project underscores Katchafire's established status in the global reggae scene and their deep connections with the genre's historical figures.
