The incident reportedly occurred after officials recommended a legal and threat assessment to determine if the lavish protection was necessary or ethical. Patel allegedly berated the official, asserting that his authority alone justified the arrangement. An FBI spokesman subsequently denied these claims, stating that Patel did not order improper actions or berate agents.
