ITE Management Acquires NACPC, Adding 20,000 Chassis to Intermodal Platform
Transportation asset manager ITE Management L.P. has acquired the North American Chassis Pool Cooperative (NACPC), adding 20,000 chassis to its fleet and expanding its intermodal platform to national scale. The deal brings ITE's total fleet to 60,000 units, giving it roughly a 30% share of the 200,000 chassis operated as part of cooperative pools. The acquisition aims to address recurring chassis availability bottlenecks in drayage and port operations, particularly as West Coast chassis pools in Southern California shift from a 'pool of pools' model to a more fragmented structure. NACPC, based in Nashville, will continue to operate under its existing brand led by CEO Darren Hawkins. ITE emphasized that the combined platform offers coast-to-coast coverage and a broad range of leasing solutions, including term leases, daily rentals, and customized programs. No financial terms were disclosed.
