Hyderabad Emerges as Global Capability Centre Powerhouse with 197 New Centres Since 2024
Hyderabad has solidified its position as a leading global destination for Global Capability Centres (GCCs), attracting 197 multinational companies since 2024 under the Congress government led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. In the first half of 2026 alone, 43 new GCCs were announced or operationalized, following 70 in 2024 and 84 in 2025. According to the NASSCOM GCC Landscape Report 2026, Hyderabad leads India in new Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) GCCs, capturing over 50% of such centres. Key investments include L'Oréal's first Indian GCC and Beauty Tech Hub, along with expansions by T-Mobile, Novartis, Zurich Insurance, and others. Growth is concentrated in high-value sectors like AI, generative AI, life sciences, semiconductors, and cybersecurity. Officials attribute the surge to world-class infrastructure, skilled talent, lower costs, and proactive government policies.
