Henrique Araújo Leaves Benfica Permanently, Joins Casa Pia
Henrique Araújo, a 24-year-old Portuguese forward, has permanently left Benfica and signed a contract with Casa Pia, becoming their fifth reinforcement for the 2026/27 season. The move follows a season where he played only 11 games for Benfica's first team and recorded two goals and three assists in eight games for the reserve team. Araújo was a specific request from new Casa Pia coach Filipe Coelho, who previously worked in Benfica's youth ranks. He had one year left on his Benfica contract but was not in Marco Silva's plans. Araújo is traveling to Guimarães to join Casa Pia's pre-season training camp and is expected to participate in an open training session. He has previously played for Andorinha, Marítimo, Watford, Famalicão, and Arouca, and is a former Portuguese under-21 international with 32 caps and 13 goals. He is valued at €1 million by Transfermarkt.
