Le Havre Signs Junior Mwanga from Strasbourg for €1.5 Million
French Ligue 1 club Le Havre is set to permanently acquire midfielder Junior Mwanga from Strasbourg for a fee of €1.5 million, excluding bonuses. The 23-year-old, who impressed during a loan spell at Le Havre from January to May 2025 with 13 league starts, will sign a four-year contract. Mwanga is already in Normandy to undergo his medical examination. Strasbourg originally purchased Mwanga from Bordeaux for €12 million in June 2023, but he failed to establish himself in Alsace, managing only 29 starts across all competitions. His previous loan to Nantes was cut short, leading to his return to Strasbourg before the winter transfer window. The move represents a significant financial loss for Strasbourg but a promising opportunity for Mwanga to revive his career at Le Havre.
