Getafe Comeback to Beat Tenerife 2-1 in Trofeo Ciudad de Santa Cruz
Getafe staged a second-half comeback to defeat CD Tenerife 2-1 at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López stadium, winning the Trofeo Ciudad de Santa Cruz. Tenerife took the lead in the 37th minute through Víctor Moreno, who scored after a deflected cross from Marc Mateu. Getafe equalized in the 55th minute when Martín Satriano converted a penalty after Uche was fouled inside the area. The winning goal came in the 89th minute from Zaid Romero. Getafe coach José Bordalás fielded a lineup featuring many academy players, while Tenerife coach Álvaro Cervera used a near first-choice eleven. The match also saw debuts for Tenerife defenders Viereck and Renos.
