The city has streamlined regulations to attract hardware businesses. Other major players with a Fremont footprint include Meta, Zoox, Pony.ai, and DoorDash, which builds its delivery bot Dot there through a partnership with Sonic Manufacturing. The city's proximity to Palo Alto and Stanford allows companies to access top engineering talent while benefiting from large floor spaces and production expertise needed for robotics development and manufacturing.
