Folha Photographers Feature in Arfoc-SP's 20th Annual Photojournalism Exhibition in São Paulo
The Association of Photographic and Cinematographic Reporters in the State of São Paulo (Arfoc-SP) is hosting the 20th edition of its Annual Photojournalism Exhibition from May 16 to June 28, 2026. The event transforms central São Paulo into an open-air cultural corridor, occupying Praça Dom José Gaspar, the Mário de Andrade Library, the Zarvos Building Gallery, and the Arfoc Gallery. This commemorative edition showcases 272 photographs and 13 videos across four sections, including Professional of the Year and a 20-year Retrospective. Notably, photographers from Folha de S.Paulo contribute 29 images, with works by Danilo Verpa, Bruno Santos, and others, including award-winning pieces from World Press Photo and the Folha Prize. The exhibition also pays tribute to veteran photographer Juca Martins, co-founder of the F4 agency, recognizing his decades of documenting social conflicts and human rights issues in Latin America. Arfoc-SP President Toni Pires emphasized the role of photojournalism in providing clarity amidst information overload. The program includes public debates, workshops, and mediated visits, aiming to reaffirm the significance of visual journalism in contemporary society.
