Five Italian Divers Die in Maldives Cave Diving Accident

Five Italian nationals lost their lives in a tragic diving accident in the Maldives, specifically within the Vaavua Atoll. According to the Italian Foreign Ministry, the group was exploring underwater caves at a depth of approximately 50 meters when the incident occurred. The deceased include an ecology professor, her daughter who was a student at the university, a lecturer, and a recent biology graduate.
