Fidesz Releases Counter-Video of Government Handover Accusing Péter Magyar of Propaganda

The Fidesz political faction has released its own edited video of the recent government handover ceremony, responding to a longer video published by opposition leader Péter Magyar. Fidesz accuses Magyar of violating his promise not to misuse recordings, claiming his version was designed to humiliate former ministers and serve his political propaganda rather than present the truth. The ruling party's video aims to show a normal atmosphere, highlighting scenes where outgoing ministers welcome their successors and discuss future plans. A key point of contention involves former Minister of Culture Balázs Hankó. While Magyar’s video suggested improper funding allocations regarding the Ópusztaszer memorial park, Fidesz clarifies that the funds were for maintaining a fire water reservoir. Additionally, Fidesz points out that Magyar omitted footage showing Hankó handing over three USB drives alongside a DVD, implying an incomplete transfer of documents. The counter-video also includes phone footage of documents being transferred outside.
