DG FIA Usman Anwar Assigned Additional Charge of National Police Bureau

Dr. Usman Anwar, the current Director General of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), has been assigned the additional charge of Director General of the National Police Bureau. This appointment was formalized through an official notification approved by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and became effective on May 1, 2026. Dr. Anwar will hold this dual role for a period of three months or until a regular appointment is made to the position.
