Fenerbahçe Beko Holds Media Day Ahead of EuroLeague Final Four in Athens

Fenerbahçe Beko’s men's basketball team held a media day at the Fenerbahçe Basketball Museum in Istanbul ahead of the EuroLeague Final Four in Athens. Head Coach Sarunas Jasikevicius, General Manager Derya Yannier, captain Melih Mahmutoğlu, and several players attended. Jasikevicius emphasized the importance of physical readiness and mental resilience against the favorable atmosphere expected for their semi-final opponent, Olympiacos. He noted that despite injuries earlier in the season, the team united effectively for the playoffs. General Manager Derya Yannier expressed pride in the club's consistent presence in the Final Four, stating it should not be considered normal due to the difficulty involved. He also addressed internal club elections, highlighting the stable working environment provided by management despite leadership changes. Yannier stressed that while budget matters, team chemistry and character are crucial for success. Captain Melih Mahmutoğlu described the occasion as an honor and affirmed the team's ambition to win the championship trophy. The event highlighted the team's preparation and confidence as they aim to secure victory in the upcoming tournament in Greece.
