UN Experts Confirm Boeing Planes Carried Weapons for Sudanese Paramilitary RSF
United Nations experts have confirmed that Boeing 727 aircraft linked to a U.S. military contractor's business network transported mercenaries, weapons, and drones for Sudan's Rapid Support Forces (RSF), according to a draft UN report. The report, compiled by the Panel of Experts on Sudan, provides details on three 727s—one sold in Brazil and two from Michigan-based Kalitta Charters II—that operated from Chad's N'Djamena airport military apron starting November 2024. Eyewitnesses in Nyala, Darfur, and communications from two member states corroborated the findings. The RSF has been accused by UN investigators of committing genocide in Darfur. A Reuters investigation previously traced the aircraft to RSF logistics hubs in Sudan, Libya, and Somalia. The draft report has been submitted to the UN Security Council for review ahead of its September publication.
