Estonian Parliament Sees Record Number of Unaffiliated MPs This Century
The Estonian parliament, Riigikogu, currently has 18 unaffiliated members of parliament, marking the highest number of independent lawmakers in the 21st century. These shifts highlight deepening fragmentation within Estonia's political landscape, driven by ideological disputes and personal rivalries among established political figures.
