EPC Groupe wins contract at Senegal's Boto gold mine
EPC Groupe, through its subsidiary EPC Mineex Senegal, has secured a three-year contract worth approximately €23 million ($26 million) to supply explosives and related services for the Boto gold mine in eastern Senegal. The mine, operated by Boto (a Managem Group member), began production in 2025 with an investment exceeding €350 million. The open-cast mine is expected to produce around 160,000 ounces of gold annually, with total reserves of 1.8 million ounces and a 15-year operational lifespan. The contract includes deployment of two mobile explosives manufacturing units, supply of explosives and blasting accessories, technical services, and digital solutions. EPC Mineex Senegal managing director Rokhaya Sall highlighted the contract as a flagship project for Senegal and West Africa's mining industry, confirming the company's ability to support large-scale gold mining projects across Africa.
