England goalkeeper Hannah Hampton extends Chelsea contract with new two-year deal
England international goalkeeper Hannah Hampton has signed a new two-year contract with Chelsea, extending her stay at the club until at least 2028. The 25-year-old, who joined from Aston Villa in 2023, has become one of the world's best goalkeepers and is first choice for the Lionesses. Hampton won the Yashin Trophy for best goalkeeper at the Ballon d'Or awards in 2025 and was a standout performer as England won Euro 2025. Her contract was set to expire this summer, and her renewal is seen as vital for Chelsea's future plans after a transitional year that saw several big-name players leave, including Sam Kerr, Guro Reiten, and Millie Bright. Hampton joins fellow England internationals Lucy Bronze and Aggie Beever-Jones in signing new Chelsea deals this summer. She has won five trophies with Chelsea, including an unbeaten domestic treble in 2024-25, and has claimed back-to-back WSL Golden Glove awards.
