Enfinity Global and Strioga Family Foundation Partner for 150MW BESS in Italy
Enfinity Global and E Energy Invest, the investment arm of the Strioga Family Foundation, have signed a co-investment partnership for a 150MW battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Livorno, Tuscany, Italy. Under the agreement, the Strioga Family Foundation will acquire a 49.9% equity interest in the fully authorized BESS, while Enfinity Global retains a 50.1% controlling stake. Enfinity Global will complete remaining development and construction activities and serve as long-term asset manager. The project features a four-hour storage duration and total storage capacity of 600MWh. It is part of Enfinity Global's 6.7GW battery storage portfolio in Italy. The partnership aims to strengthen grid flexibility and enable greater integration of renewable energy. Enfinity Global has recently attracted other equity partners, including a sovereign wealth fund from Azerbaijan, for assets totaling over 1.1GW. The Strioga Family Foundation enters the Italian energy market through this transaction.
