Eintracht Frankfurt Flies to Training Camp to Avoid Holiday Traffic
Eintracht Frankfurt's football team flew from Frankfurt to Salzburg, then took a bus to Grassau, Bavaria, for their pre-season training camp at the luxury hotel 'Das Achental' on July 24, 2026. The decision to fly the roughly 500-kilometer route was made to avoid the severe holiday traffic congestion on highways heading south, which would have taken six to seven hours by road. Coach Adi Hütter prioritized a morning training session at home before departure, making a long bus ride impractical. The team will prepare for the new season in Grassau until July 31, instead of their usual training camp in America. Fans gathered at the hotel to greet the players and coach.
