Dollar Tree Opens New Distribution Center in Arizona to Support Southwest Stores

Dollar Tree has officially opened a new one million-square-foot distribution center in Litchfield Park, Arizona, located outside of Phoenix. The climate-controlled facility, announced on May 14, 2026, is designed to service approximately 700 stores across Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, and Utah, with outbound deliveries scheduled to begin the following month. This addition brings the retailer's total number of distribution centers to 19, supporting over 9,240 stores in North America. Roxanne Weng, Chief Supply Chain Officer, stated that the facility aims to move products closer to stores for faster customer service. The opening is part of Dollar Tree's broader strategy to modernize its supply chain, which includes replacing legacy systems with cloud-based platforms and adding temperature-controlled storage to all centers. These upgrades are intended to improve inventory visibility, reduce out-of-stock items, and optimize cost structures. Additionally, the company plans to open another one million-square-foot facility in Marietta, Oklahoma, in spring 2027, replacing a site destroyed by a tornado in 2024.
