Djokovic and Sabalenka Confirmed for US Open Mixed Doubles; Alcaraz and Sinner Not Yet Named
Novak Djokovic and Aryna Sabalenka will team up for the first time in mixed doubles at the US Open, scheduled to begin on August 30. The pair, who have won six singles titles at Arthur Ashe Stadium between them, headline a star-studded field. Casper Ruud and Iga Swiatek, last year's runners-up, also feature, along with Elena Rybakina and Taylor Fritz. Notably, Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, and Venus and Serena Williams have not yet been confirmed for any doubles pairings, despite being on the singles entry list. USTA CEO Craig Tiley praised the mixed doubles format for showcasing tennis and engaging new audiences. The event will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
