Deportivo Revives Pursuit of Angeliño on Loan from Roma
Deportivo de La Coruña has revived its pursuit of left-back Angeliño (Ángel Tasende) from AS Roma, with the transfer progressing after weeks of financial hurdles. The 27-year-old Spaniard, who left A Coruña as a youth to train at Manchester City, is reportedly close to returning on loan with a purchase option, according to Italian insiders Fabrizio Romano and Mateo Moretto. Angeliño's weak position in Roma's squad under coach Gian Piero Gasperini, due to medical issues and limited playing time last season, has made a move more likely. He has played only half an hour since September and failed to impress in preseason friendlies. Roma is seeking replacements for the left-back position. Deportivo also considers alternatives like Álex Moreno, Abel Bretones, Alberto Moreno, and Ricardo Rodríguez. Angeliño's contract with Roma runs until 2028.
