Delhi University Begins Classes, Extends Round 2 Admissions Deadline

Delhi University commenced classes for all undergraduate and postgraduate programmes on July 28, 2026, even as students allotted seats in the second round continue to confirm their admissions. The university extended the deadline for candidates allotted seats in the second round from Tuesday to Wednesday (July 29). Separately, the Delhi University School of Open Learning announced a one-year postgraduate programme in Open and Distance Learning mode for graduates of the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUP), offering 1,400 seats. This announcement follows student protests over limited seats in one-year postgraduate programmes compared to the large number of FYUP graduates.
