Death Of Robin Hood Flops at Box Office, Arrives on Digital Streaming This Week
The Death of Robin Hood, starring Hugh Jackman as the legendary outlaw, is debuting on premium video-on-demand (PVOD) on July 28 after a disastrous theatrical run. Directed by Michael Sarnoski (A Quiet Place: Day One, Pig), the film opened on June 19 to just $2.8 million from 1,687 North American theaters. It has since earned $5.3 million domestically and $700,000 internationally, totaling $6 million worldwide against a $20 million production budget. The R-rated film, which also stars Jodie Comer, Bill Skarsgård, Murray Bartlett, and Noah Jupe, received mixed reviews: a 66% fresh score from critics on Rotten Tomatoes and a 56% rotten score from audiences. The film will be available for digital purchase at $24.99 and rental at $19.99 on platforms including Prime Video, Apple TV, Fandango at Home, and YouTube Movies & TV.
