Darwinbox Names Akshay Murthy as Country Head for India
Darwinbox, a global HR technology platform, has appointed Akshay Murthy as Country Head for India. Murthy, who brings over 24 years of experience from Salesforce, Oracle, and IBM, will lead the company's enterprise growth in its home market. His appointment comes as Indian enterprises rapidly adopt AI in HR, with Deloitte reporting 40% of Indian firms using AI significantly versus a 28% global average. Darwinbox has responded by launching AI-native features like Super Agent and becoming the first HCM platform to launch a Model Context Protocol server. Murthy aims to close the gap between legacy HR systems and AI-native technology. Co-founder Rohit Chennamaneni highlighted that India serves as a model for fast-growing, multilingual markets globally. The company, founded in 2015, serves over 4 million employees across 130 countries.
