Cummins, Hazlewood, Lyon Return for Australia's Test Series vs Bangladesh
Australia's bowling attack receives a major boost with the return of Pat Cummins, Nathan Lyon, and Josh Hazlewood for the two-Test series against Bangladesh. The trio missed most of the home Ashes series due to injuries, with Hazlewood absent since July 2025. Their inclusion, alongside Mitchell Starc and Scott Boland, creates a selection dilemma for head coach Andrew McDonald, especially after Boland took 20 wickets in the Ashes. Michael Neser misses out despite his 15 Ashes wickets. The squad also sees the return of opener Jake Weatherald, who has been in strong form for Leicestershire, and all-rounder Beau Webster. The first Test begins August 13 in Darwin, followed by the second in Mackay, serving as preparation for a three-Test tour of South Africa in October.
