Culpeo Minerals expands Chile landholding by 45% with new licences
Culpeo Minerals has expanded its landholding in Chile by 45% after receiving 24 new exploration licences covering 2,809 hectares across its Lana Corina and Fortuna projects. The company's total landholding in Chile now stands at 9,033 hectares. The new licences include five exploration licences (793 ha) at Lana Corina and 19 (2,016 ha) at Fortuna. The company has integrated these areas into ongoing exploration programs involving geological mapping, rock-chip sampling, and channel sampling to identify drilling targets. At Fortuna, an induced polarisation survey covering 24 line kilometres is underway to assess subsurface chargeability and resistivity. Diamond drilling is ongoing at the El Quillay South prospect, with initial assay results expected by August 2026. Interim executive chair Geoff McNamara stated the new tenure strengthens the company's district-scale copper-gold portfolio in Chile.
