Cristiano Ronaldo's UD Almeria sells forward Marko Milovanovic to Portsmouth
Cristiano Ronaldo, former Manchester United star and part-owner of Spanish club UD Almeria, has sanctioned the permanent transfer of Serbian striker Marko Milovanovic to English Championship side Portsmouth. Milovanovic joined Almeria ahead of the 2022/23 season and spent three years with the club, impressing last season on loan at Portuguese side FC Alverca, where he scored nine goals in the top flight. The transfer was officially confirmed on Almeria's website. The move comes after Portugal's Round of 16 exit at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which Ronaldo confirmed was his final World Cup, though he has not retired from international football. Almeria has also secured goalkeeper Fernando Martinez on a new contract until 2027 as part of their summer preparations for the 2026/27 season.
