Christopher Nolan Denies Helicopter Thriller Rumors for Next Film After The Odyssey
Christopher Nolan has addressed rumors about his next film project following the release of The Odyssey, his 13th feature-length movie. In a recent interview with The Telegraph, Nolan denied claims that he was planning a helicopter-based action thriller inspired by the 1983 film Blue Thunder, a rumor that first surfaced on social media in 2024. He stated he was 'bewildered' by the speculation and had 'absolutely no idea' where it came from, jokingly adding he was 'always more of an Airwolf fan.' The Odyssey, based on Homer's ancient Greek epic, stars Matt Damon alongside an all-star cast including Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Charlize Theron. The film is Nolan's first since the critically and commercially successful Oppenheimer, which won multiple Oscars and earned nearly a billion dollars. Nolan continued his preference for practical effects and location filming for The Odyssey, which reportedly made for grueling experiences for the cast and crew. The film is currently in cinemas.
