Chelsea to announce £34m signing of Valentin Barco after World Cup clash with Bellingham
Chelsea are on the verge of announcing the £34 million signing of Argentina international Valentin Barco from Strasbourg, according to reports. The transfer comes days after Barco was involved in a heated confrontation with England's Jude Bellingham during the World Cup semi-final. Barco, who played only 19 minutes in the tournament, celebrated Argentina's victory over England, leading to a shoving match with Bellingham. Chelsea have already signed Geovany Quenda and Marco Palestra this summer, and recently completed a £117 million deal for Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa. The club is also reportedly interested in free agent John Stones.
