The Booker Prize 2026 longlist of 13 semifinalists was announced on July 28, 2026, featuring past winners Marlon James (for 'The Disappearers') and Douglas Stuart (for 'John of John'), as well as Pulitzer Prize winner Elizabeth Strout (for 'The Things We Never Say'). The judging panel, chaired by historian Mary Beard and including Jarvis Cocker and Patricia Lockwood, selected the novels from 163 entries. The six finalists will be announced on September 22, and the winner on November 9, 2026, in London. The prize is worth £50,000 ($66,000).
