Blackstone invests in South Korean robotics supplier Futronic
Blackstone, the world's largest alternative asset manager, has made a significant investment in Futronic, a South Korean supplier of high-precision actuators for the automotive and industrial robotics sectors. The deal values Futronic at approximately 1 trillion won ($676.04 million). Under the agreement, private equity funds affiliated with Blackstone will acquire a stake, while Futronic's founder Jin-ho Ko will remain chairman and CEO. Ko stated that Blackstone will help drive the company's global expansion and solidify its leadership in actuation and motion control solutions. The investment aims to accelerate Futronic's end-market growth internationally.
