Bengaluru joins Mercedes-Benz 140-year global anniversary tour
Mercedes-Benz is celebrating its 140th anniversary with a transcontinental tour called '140 Years, 140 Places', covering 140 locations across 23 countries and five continents. Three S-Class sedans named after automotive pioneers Carl Benz, Bertha Benz, and Gottlieb Daimler departed from Stuttgart and have traveled over 40,000 kilometers. The convoy reached Bengaluru, India, where two of the cars visited Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI) campuses at Brigade Tech Gardens and Embassy Crest. MBRDI, the company's largest R&D center outside Germany, is also celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. The Bengaluru stop featured celebrations at MBRDI campuses, and the convoy will continue its global route before returning to Stuttgart in October 2026.
