AT&T beats wireless subscriber targets on bundle plan success
AT&T reported better-than-expected wireless subscriber additions for Q2 2026, adding 432,000 net monthly bill-paying customers versus the 338,500 forecast. The outperformance was driven by revamped low-cost unlimited plans and bundled mobile-broadband offerings like the OneConnect single subscription launched in March. The company also posted record broadband additions, with 367,000 new fiber internet users and 279,000 fixed wireless subscribers. About 42.5% of AT&T's advanced internet households also subscribe to its wireless service. Total revenue came in at $31.6 billion, slightly below the $31.80 billion estimate, while adjusted EPS of 65 cents beat the 59-cent consensus. Shares rose 5% in premarket trading as the convergence strategy of selling multiple connectivity services to households gains traction.
