Battery Storage Facility Fire in Bautzen Prompts Evacuations and Explosion Risk
A battery storage facility at the Schlieben parking lot in Bautzen, Saxony, has been burning since late afternoon on July 21, 2026, prompting the evacuation of nearby residents and a city-wide advisory to keep windows and doors closed, including overnight.
